Top 3 Reasons to Visit Cabo

Hey there! Bri, Here. I’m sharing a guest post from my blog, BriGeeski. I’m Chris’ sister and also have a love for Cabo and I’ll explain more with my Top 3 Reasons to Visit Cabo below!

Cabo has become one of our favorite destinations. We’ve been twice now within the last year. My brother has been so many times I can’t even count, and is even starting this new business venture encompassing all of Cabo here on Build A Life in Cabo! To say we are fans is an understatement. Cabo is an adventure, a pleasure, a place for fun and a place to make your own. Our last trip was for my brother’s 40th birthday so a group of us headed down for the weekend. I had been to Cabo when I was younger as a cruise ship destination but those were only for about a day at a time. To really experience Cabo, you have to stay for at least 2 nights and I recommend 3. Get the full scoop below, and find out my Top 3 Reasons to Visit Cabo!

There are so many reasons why we have fallen in love with Cabo that I could probably talk about it all day. I’m going to give you my top 3 here and explain more each time we visit.

Top 3 Reasons to Visit Cabo

  • The Food There are so many great food options.
Local Taco Stands: El Gran PastorTaco Guss
Great for Lunch: Mango Deck This is right on the beach, they have live contests and loud music.  They will put your lounge chair right up to the water and serve you shrimp nachos and buckets of beer, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Great for Dinner: The Office We’ve had awesome lobster & steak dinner here as well as tasty appetizers in the daytime & Maro’s Shrimp House This is the spot we’ve been getting lobster dinner for $20.
Breakfast: Tesoro Buffet. We really haven’t tried any other spots for breakfast because Tesoro includes breakfast with your stay, which is awesome. They have a great spread and lots of options including a build your own omelet bar, chilaquiles, fruit and rotating breakfast choices.
  • The Water Taxi’s This is pure relaxation for me. The water taxi’s will take you from the marina to view the arch or over to the beach where The Office & Mango Deck are located. These are usually $5-$10 per person. There is just something about the ocean breeze, the music and the views all at the same time.
  • The Adventure It’s all about the adventure. Cabo can be whatever you make of it. It can be a relax by the pool all day place, or you can pack your days full of activities. I’m more of a relax by the pool, eat all the food and walk around type of traveller these days, but I’m all in for trying new experiences. Check out a few adventures we enjoyed below!

We tried the Garrufa Spa where the little fish eat the dead skin off your toes. This was so weird but totally worth trying. Mary helped us out here and told us about Taco Guss. She was awesome. My parents and I both did this and I don’t think I’ve laughed or squealed that hard ever.

We also went on a dinner cruise on Eco Cat. It was more like a booze cruise with food but I’m not mad about it. We were greeted with a welcome cocktail and some mellow music. We went on a tour to the arch and watched the sunset. Then the drinks started flowing, the music got louder and the party started. We had a blast and I did my fair share of dancing. The host of the cruise was hilarious and really got everyone to have a great time.

We did some shopping at the beach but also walked around town to explore what was nearby. Shopping in Mexico is always an adventure! I also seem to like to get tattoos on my feet when I’m at the beach. I’ve never really wanted a real tattoo but It’s always fun to have for a few days.

We have stayed at Tesoro for both trips and love it there. It’s a great location right in the marina. It’s walking distance to some of our favorite spots or a quick water taxi to anything else we’ve done. You will need to take a taxi or rent a car if you want to explore any further. Each time, we’ve taken a cab from the airport to the hotel and haven’t needed a car for anything else.

Tesoro is a great place to stay and to relax at the pool. They have great happy hour deals and makes for a good home base while exploring around. We’ve had an awesome time in Cabo and are looking forward to more adventures there soon! Have you been to Cabo?

I hope you enjoyed my guest post today! Follow along here to see more of our adventures!

Thank you! xo – Bri
